The forum topic was closed and later deleted. You can always write to their address in San Francisco. http://www.zynga.com/contact/

Re: Let Zynga know....
I send a huge message to them once. No wonder they didn't reply, I didn't know they made FarmVille and I shunned that through the message
But I just sent Gopets a message through facebook, and I did send one to Zynga too. I think this one was well put together
If they do actually answer that, I'll post on here. I'm sending them that message every day until they do! I'm a persistant little sucker.

Zynga, What happened to GoPets? You haven't even opened it back up, and NO JOKE I have had dreams of GoPets. I was asuper-addict and I have contacted Zynga plenty of times and I never get a reply. You should have better service and more about your players other then getting their money. I have seen nothing related to GoPets in your games, I don't think you will change. I was on the last 4 minutes of the game, and I joined nearly the 1st month it came live. Even if its just GoDance, or a little minigame, or the sound effects of my pet playing a arcade machine I would do anything to get it back! Please, if you know, inform me on the future of Gopets. Because if its just something fun for the workers to do as a past-time I won't bother.

Re: Let Zynga know....
Zynga didn't buy the GoPets rights because they had any intention of reopening or developing the game, they did it because they wanted Erik's team to work for them (this was confirmed by Erik). Erik has kept all the code for GoPets, and has an option to buy back the rights from Zynga at a later time (basically if he gets the cash together and still wants to do it at that point). So if anything did happen in the future with GoPets, it would probably be from Erik re-buying the rights, not anything Zynga does. Erik's team has done some work on a number of Zynga games, Farmville, Petville, Mafia Wars, etc.

Aaaw, thats kinda a yay and a boo. I couldn't see Erik as a slave to Farmville D: I hope he can get it all back someday, even if im in a nursery home by then!
Eeeeedit!~
nope. No reply yet
I sent a different message to Zynga now. Gah, I'm going to hand-write it and send it in too! They suck at customer service.

Asynjur - I really hope that he can buy it back! I will get GoPets back at once, if they ever get it back up. We should start a rally and have GP addicts bombard Zynga with messages. XD
I just found this forum, because I was thinking about what a great and diverse game GoPets was. Is there anything that I can do to make this situation any better? [Yes, I really was a GP addict. And I mean addict.] I'm just SO bummed that Zynga just transformed our sophisticated game into a 2D, typical flash game. :[

Wait, Erik had a team? Aside from the few coders he seemed to have hired during the last days, I thought that he was more or less on his own. err, well, I actually thought that those coders were temporary or part-time based or something. But that assumption could have arisen mainly from the recolored items...
I was out of touch with GP, actually. Can you tell? hehe.

Re: Let Zynga know....
I don't know the exact arrangement, but he had some programmers working for him again--he'd contracted to work for other companies and that's what they were doing, though, not GoPets. GoPets was a side project since it didn't bring in any money at the end. I don't think he had any graphic artists, which is why the recolors weren't professional looking.niquae wrote:Wait, Erik had a team? Re: Let Zynga know....
They are capable of refunding our money, except not our time! On the other hand, Gopets was the greatest game of all time!!! I'm so disappointed that it was banished! I just want...to have spent more time on this site.

I don't think contacting Zynga will really work. If Zynga wants us to contact them, they are probably trying to see ways they can market GoPets because of our strong desire to bring back GoPets itself.
