I already had 2 cats and 3 dogs when people found out about the original petling limit of 5 (of course I would have planned carefully had I known about the limit when the petlings came out). But when they upped it to 10, I figured might as well get whatever I want, because ultimately if they don't give us systems to save some petlings out or whatever, I won't be able to get everything I want no matter what I do. So I have 13 petlings already (bought 3 bear bundles to get around the limit). I want at least one lamb, lion, and leopard, and multiple dragons, so I'll fill up my limit again in no time. I love the dragons, I'd get at least 5 of them if I could. I missed the pegasus, not a heartbreaker since it wasn't my favorite, but I certainly would have gotten if I could.

Anyhoo, it's crazy how little thought goes into game design. Pet Society active user numbers have been falling for 6 months or so, and at times things have gotten pretty ugly on the Pet Society forum, people unhappy with bugs and changes, etc. Anyway, today an official "listening" thread shows up, an actual employee reading everything in the thread (well, I think he was just skimming big posts, the ones he really responded to were all short). Most things he just says they'll look into, but the decision to increase the number of petlings was made in about 10 minutes! Ah, what? If there's no code based reason to keep the limit low, why was there a limit in the first place!? I just don't get it. But I hope they go through with it, he said it was happening, but you never know with PS, they might turn around and say they couldn't do it.

So the 20 petlings is in the blog post, I'm reassured they'll actually increase the limit. Starting to think of names for my new babies..

The weekly dig special changed on me, wasn't paying attention. I'd like the diamond ring headband. Anyone want to trade?

So since this "listening" thread was posted and someone from the company has actually been replying to some comments, it just shows what dolts these people are.. Like someone will post "you need to work on racing, it's too hard, the payouts are too low" and he'll be like "we don't waste time working on unpopular features".. Ah, we know it's unpopular, that's why we're telling you how to fix it. So unpopular features that only need a little polish just stay unpopular, while popular features that people are happy using as they are get fiddled with until they become unpopular I guess!? Great approach.. At least someone is reading some of the comments and a few things have changed.

That's the database I've been using lately to make all my lists - it's amazing. Right now I'm going through the mystery box items to see what I don't have.

I probably wouldn't have picked up the pinball machines, but, what can I say, kind of reminds me of GoPets.

I'm hoping getting my bunny later tonight (I think it's my leopard's last growth spurt tonight, but I'm not 100% sure, LOL). Right now, though, I'm trying to get my dragon to look like I want with a petling change potion. Frustrating! I want to keep her long tail, and have long horns as well. I'm going offline to try over and over with the same potion. Time after time, whether I get longer horns or ones even stubbier than the ones she has now, I get the shorter tail. If I was actually paying for these potions instead of using the same one again and again, I'd be broke! I have a particular look in mind for the bunny when I get it, too, so I'm sure that will also be a barrel of laughs, LOL.

So I did get a cute little bunny!

Oh, another thing--I'm using my Petling Resort for all my petlings. Can't put them all in at once, but if you pop one in for just a moment and take it out again, it won't eat for 24 hours. I haven't fed my petlings (except for the growing one which needs real food) for 3 days now. And you don't have to wait for them to get hungry like you do when you actually feed them! (I'm hoping no one else who stumbles on to this posts it on the official PS forum, they'll probably disable the resorts/mansions entirely until they can figure out how to change it.)

It doesn't work if you pull the resort out from under the petlings, they get hungry then. But if you plop the petlings into it and then pull them off again, it seems to work just fine. I go from room to room and grab all my petlings, then hit the resort room and rotate them all through by threes, then go back and put them all in their rooms.
